The PIFA Street Fair – the best festival in Philadelphia

Hula Hoopers in Compass Park

A couple of years ago we went to the PIFA Street Fair for the first time.  This is a big arts fair in a big city…and it’s awesome!  First off, it is held right on Broad St., in the heart of Center City.  The backdrop of City Hall and the classic architecture around the theater district is just beautiful. Throw in stunners like a Ferris Wheel, trapeze acts, living fountains, parklets (with real grass & flowers) and of course amazing music, food, and art activities for the kids…and you have a great afternoon for everyone.  This years theme was “If You Had a Time Machine”.

The Living Fountain

This is a Living Fountain. She gracefully moved to classical music and there is actually water shooting out of her finger tips!

The only problem with this festival…is that we have to wait two more years for the next one!
